Apparel and Accessories Design
Rave Faves was a concept-driven men's apparel and accessories project inspired by rave and electronic music culture. The goal was to create bold, expressive designs that felt authentic to the EDM space while remaining cohesive and wearable beyond a single event setting.
I led the creative direction from early concept development through visual execution, building an intentional collection that combined graphic apparel, pants concepts, footwear ideas, and accessories.
The goal was to create a visually distinctive collection that stood out within a crowded ravewear market while maintaining a clear and consistent identity.
Key objectives included:
Developing original graphics and silhouettes aligned with EDM and rave culture
Creating a cohesive visual language across multiple product categories
Designing pieces that balanced statement-making with wearability
Establishing a brand identity that could extend across digital platforms
The Goal
I led all creative and conceptual work for the project.
My responsibilities included:
Concept development and visual direction for the full collection
Design of original graphic concepts for t-shirts, pants, footwear ideas, and accessories
Exploration of 15+ concept variations across graphics, styling, and product types
Development of a cohesive brand aesthetic across apparel and accessories
Creative direction of a branded photoshoot in collaboration with a photographer
Oversight of styling, composition, and visual presentation for marketing assets
My Role
The design approach centered on translating the energy of rave culture into a wearable system rather than novelty pieces. Graphics, color palettes, and styling choices were developed to feel expressive without becoming visually chaotic.
I approached the collection as a system, considering how each piece supported the overall visual language. Graphics and silhouettes were refined through multiple iterations to ensure consistency across products while allowing individual designs to stand out.
The result was a collection that felt intentional, bold, and aligned with its cultural reference points.
The Design Approach
Execution and Launch
Final designs and concepts were prepared for digital presentation and marketing use.
Execution included:
Finalizing graphics and product concepts across 3 core categories
Coordinating and selecting final imagery from the photoshoot
Preparing creative assets for online use and brand presentation
Establishing a consistent visual identity across digital touchpoints
Outcome
Rave Faves launched as a cohesive concept collection that demonstrated how strong visual direction and system thinking can elevate niche apparel design.
The project strengthened my experience in men's apparel design, cultural research, and creative direction within a trend-driven space. This project highlights my ability to build a concept from the ground up, translate cultural inspiration into wearable design, and manage creative direction across products and visuals. It demonstrates how I approach cohesion, experimentation, and visual storytelling in apparel design.
